Tampa Bay Citizens Academy on Transportation – YEAR TWO
October 12, 2022 – December 7, 2022
Live *class sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 5 pm to 7 pm ET. Sessions will be recorded and available for registered students only.
The Tampa Bay Citizens Academy on Transportation is a free eight-week virtual e-learning course to familiarize citizens with transportation in the City of Tampa. Participants will learn from local subject matter experts on how transportation decisions are made, how projects are funded, equity considerations, and infrastructure within the City of Tampa. In addition, USF faculty and City staff will help guide you through a project of your choosing to help you be a more effective ambassador for improving transportation and equity in your community.
Throughout the course, participants will be able to apply what they’ve learned to a class project that addresses a local transportation issue that they are passionate about. At the end of the course, participants will be able to present their project to the class and a panel of subject matter experts.
* Enrollment in the Citizens Academy is limited to 25 participants and is open to residents of the City of Tampa only. Registrations are taken on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration does not guarantee you a spot in the course. If space is unavailable, you will be notified and placed on a waiting list for the next session.
