The University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM) hosted an outreach initiative called “Transportation Student Leadership.” URPM students created presentations on their NICR research projects to promote STEM careers for high school students. The students discussed their research, their relationship to transportation, and their college experience with two schools. A few students selected their previous high schools for presentations.
This was a successful event for UPRM and its students. We look forward to hosting more high school workshops in the future!
